Vision One brings together all aspects of eyecare covering the Volusia
County Area. Our skilled physicians can handle any of your needs from
glasses and contacts, management and treatment of eye disease and
conditions, to surgical needs. Vision One was founded in 1996 when after a
twenty year professional association Dr. Michael Haynes took over the
practice of Dr. Marko Galbreath. In addition to the services of routine eye
care, contact lens fitting, evaluation, and care, and optical service the
practice expanded to include diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions,
infections and treatment of diseases such as glaucoma and retina disorders.
The expansion was achieved while keeping the small, family, practice
atmosphere that was the signature of Dr. Galbreath’s care.
With the talents of Dr. Suzette Blahnik, Dr. Greg Blahnik, and Dr. Gregory
T Kipp, We were able to open Vision One eye and contact lens center in Port
Orange, in 1998. This office combined state of the art technology with a
friendly staff to make visits as enjoyable as a visit to the doctor could
be. Eye health can be assessed with a visual field analyzer, a corneal
topographer, a Vcom digital camera, or an FDT field machine, to give the most thorough
examination possible. The optical has a large selection of frames from
designer works of art and budget frames that just make you look like a
million dollars. The in house surfacing lab can make almost any
prescription in an hour. The staff is well trained and caring and do their
best to make the patients happy.
In 1999 we aquired the Neumann Eye Institute, renaming it Vision One and
opening Central Florida Cataract and Laser Surgery Center which are now able to bring to the
patient a full range of medical and surgical services. Dr. Haynes worked for Dr. Neumann for ten years serving a clinic
director and it became apparent after caring for the patients in the wake
of Dr. Neumann’s death that the responsibility for these paitent’s care
rested with him. This practice will continue the commitment to excellence
that Dr. Neumann embodied. The clinic combines the advanced technology
typical of a university medical center, with the sensitive and sincere
on-on-one personal concern characteristic of a hometown medical practice.
Routine eye health examinations as well as management of eye conditions
and diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetic
retinopathy are the primary capabilities of this office. With the addition
of Dr. Martin Pourkesali, D.O. the eyes-only surgical facility at the Deland office,
designed to meet the specialized needs of ophthalmic patients again
services the surgical needs of patients with cataracts, glaucoma,
also nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism through LASIK.
In the past year we have opened offices in Daytona Beach to better serve the community.
At Vision One Total Eyecare Center we are trained to detect and follow eye conditions
that may result from diabetes and high blood pressure. Our patients are evaluated for possible laser treatment
if indicated. The laser may be used to reduce swelling and treat the various retina diseases.
In addition to routine eye examinations, we offer the following advice to our diabetic patients;
always consult your primary health care physicians with any questions regarding your health, no matter
how big or small the circumstance may seem.
Vision One encompasses every facet of eyecare due to the specialties of
each of it’s physician’s and covers the county with it’s offices in
Daytona, Port Orange and Deland.
